The magic of sunrise and sunset are doubled when they’re reflected in the water. Enjoy the peaceful vista during these twilight hours. You can even take full-moon or stargazing cruises, just follow all night-time boat safety protocols.

Sandbar Outing

Sandbars, shallow spots in lakes or slow rivers, often attract lots of families and young people because they are so attractive for swimming, wading, and hanging out. They are great places to meet other boaters and have a relaxing, sundrenched afternoon. Simply cruise over, drop anchor, and enjoy yourself, whether that means swimming or reading under an umbrella.

Host A Board Game Tournament

The spacious layout and inherent stability of a pontoon are perfect for board games. Bring portable tables or dinner trays if you need extra surface space. You can have a variety of games, or all play the same game and compete to be the ultimate champion! If it’s windy stick with games that don’t rely on paper, like chess, checkers, backgammon, and Scrabble.

Any parlor game can be played on a pontoon. You can also play charades, or even card games and jigsaw puzzles if it isn’t windy.
